Anthony Rubio is the Development Coordinator at the California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC). As such they lead the work of growing our events and individual donor fundraising.

Anthony brings ten years of non-profit experience to CIPC. Their work has involved conducting research on non-profit development in the inland California region of Riverside, working as an event coordinator for an international men’s health group in Mexico City, doing civic engagement and development work at the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), and helping fundraise for street vendors in Chicago.

Born to immigrant parents and raised in the colorful southeast cities of Los Angeles County, Anthony knows firsthand the many contributions hard-working immigrants bring to California. They have a B.A. in Global Studies and B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside, which gave them the opportunity to spend half a year in Seoul, South Korea at Yonsei University to study economic development, and another half a year in Mexico City at UNAM to study international relations. In Anthony’s downtime, they love a good dance party, reading and supporting queer literature, sharing plant-based meals with friends and family, and developing their green thumb in the garden.
