Kim Navoa is CIPC's Operations Coordinator, based in Los Angeles. She grew up in Chicago and graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and minor in Asian American Studies. An immigrant herself, she volunteered with the Immigrant Youth Justice League, Alliance of Filipinos for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, and Korean American Resource and Cultural Center in Chicago. In Los Angeles, she interned at the Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution in its youth program in 2013 and prior to joining CIPC, worked as the Human Resources Associate at the Immigrant Defenders Law Center. In her free time, Kim likes to play with her puppy Marceline, photograph everything, read books by women of color, meticulously organize her planner and Pinterest boards, and eat her way through Los Angeles.
