Volunteers and community members like you make Immigrant Day possible. Please consider taking a leadership role, some of which will require attending an in-person training or webinar, to ensure the day runs smoothly for everyone. Below is a list of roles:
Serve as the main contact for Immigrant Day Event Coordinators, the bus driver, and participants riding their bus. Bus Captains will also help ensure pick up times are on schedule.
The Team Leader is responsible for being a point person for participants from their respective organization/group. Each Team Leader will also attend an Immigrant Day Team Leader Webinar to be briefed on the schedule for the day, the policy platform, and event details that will ensure they can relay information back to the group.
Legislative Facilitators will participate in a webinar training (if an in-person training is not available in your region).
Facilitators are responsible for the following:
Facilitators will gather participants in front of the legislative office 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time and have coordinated the order of who will speak on what issue.
Provide Legislative Visit Leadership:
Serve as a moderator to keep conversations focused and play timekeeper as needed.
Each facilitator will complete a Report Back form (in a CIPC Visit Packet provided beforehand).
