Los angelers,CA-In response to Donald Trump’s draconian Executive Order today attacking refugees and immigrants, Cynthia Buiza, Executive Director of the CA Immigrant Policy Center, issued the following statement:
The ghosts of the most abominable chapters of exclusion and hate in US history have come roaring back to life. It is unconscionable to send people fleeing horrific violence back to danger and death, and it is a gross assault on our common humanity to single out and demonize entire nationalities.
We call upon all people of conscience to stand by our values and support Muslim, Arab and Middle Eastern immigrants and refugees against the Trump regime’s hateful actions. The whole world is watching.
