Isabella Elizalde

Isabella Elizalde is the Senior Executive and Board Liasion. She serves as the CIPC Board of Directors liaison, manages calendar and booking for the ED, and facilitates special development projects for the executive team.

Her work is rooted in an artist-based approach to uplifting and empowering disenfranchised communities to cultivate a voice, build power, and use art as a transformative practice. As a photographer in graduate school, Isabella documented and researched the history of communities of color in Hartford, Connecticut. This work resulted in the creation of a photographic timeline exploring the role of photography in ethnography and contemporary American photo storytelling.

Isabella earned her M.A. in American Studies with a focus on Museums and Communities and received her B.A. in Political Science and Studio Arts from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. While at Trinity, she spent two semesters abroad studying political science in Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean and art history in Paris, France. In her free time Isabella enjoys spending time with her two cats; Cristobol and Gabby.
