Most recently, Vy Nyugen served as a Senior Director of Special Projects and Communications at the Weingart Foundation where she worked on initiatives and other projects that fell outside of the foundation’s typical responsive grantmaking. Before entering philanthropy, Vy worked for more than a decade in the nonprofit and public sector, including at the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education, and prior to that, at the Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance. Vy is passionate about issues like climate change, staff wellness, and nonprofit sustainability.
