Last year, in partnership with the University of Southern California Equity Research Institute (ERI), CIPC convened several listening sessions with immigrant community members, community-based organizations, and advocates to better understand our communities’ most pressing challenges and priorities. Held in the Central Valley, Central Coast, San Diego, and Los Angeles, these conversations aimed to uncover unique regional needs, as well as common issues, to ensure that state policy centers the needs of our communities.
On September 27, 2023, we hosted our #PowerUp webinar and shared out findings and what we learned from these listening sessions. Our hope is that this conversation will help shape strategy, gauge and communicate momentum and progress, and support accountability while informing a long-term immigrant rights agenda for all of us.
