Los Angeles Justice Fund

Together with a coalition of diverse organizations, CIPC has organized and advocated for the creation, renewal, and expansion of the LA Justice Fund.  In 2017, Los Angeles City, Los Angeles County, and philanthropy piloted this legal safety net program with an initial investment of over $7 million. Since that time, over 740 cases have been taken through the LA Justice Fund and over 2,200 people have received legal screening and information. We have helped lead efforts to make the program truly universal by providing due process regardless of a person’s past criminal history, and to create a holistic program that can address the multiple needs of immigrant Angelenos and their families.
