CIPC denounces SCOTUS decision upholding Muslim Ban
In response to today’s Supreme Court decision on Trump v. Hawaii, upholding the third iteration of the Muslim Ban, Cynthia Buiza, Executive Director of the CA Immigrant Policy Center, issued the following statement:
We are deeply disappointed by the Supreme Court’s decision today to allow the continued enforcement of the Muslim Ban – a profoundly Islamophobic and xenophobic policy that demonizes families, communities, and whole nationalities.
The Muslim Ban, a draconian centerpiece of the Trump administration’s hateful agenda, is a deep assault on our country’s values of inclusion, compassion, and religious freedom.
Today and every day moving forward, we will continue to fight to uphold the human rights of all people who will suffer as a result of this decision. We stand in solidarity with all communities under attack by the Trump administration’s racist and xenophobic agenda.
