CIPC Statement Regarding Voters’ Approval of Prop. 50

Los Angeles (Nov. 4, 2025) – The California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC) issued the following statement today regarding the projected passage of Proposition 50, a ballot measure authorizing temporary changes to congressional district maps in response to Texas’ partisan redistricting.

“Californians have spoken loud and clear. No intimidation tactics will deter the will of the voters,” said CIPC Executive Director Masih Fouladi. “The people of California will not stand idly by while President Trump uses every scheme imaginable to produce the electoral results that benefit him and his party and advance his anti-immigrant agenda. We will not allow Trump to deploy masked federal agents and the military to indiscriminately harass, arrest and deport immigrant members of our community without accountability.

“CIPC will continue to work with our community partners and state and local leaders to pursue policies that protect and uplift immigrant communities while honoring the rich contributions they make to our economy and culture.”
